Preparing children for school with advanced skills and critical thinking
Junior Kindergarten (4 years old and up)
This program focuses on getting children ready for the next big step – kindergarten! Jr. Kindergarten class integrates school readiness skills with play, thus delivering an effective, fun and nurturing program. Some of the specific focus areas are:
- Social skills development. Fostering friendships, sharing, taking turns. Being kind to others, using manners, seeking approval of friends
- Physical development. Engaging in a wide variety of gross and fine motor skills activities
- Creative Expression. Using a variety of art media, expressing self through art, sharing their work with others. Engaging in a variety of music/dramatic play activities including listening to music, singing songs and enjoying movement exploration
- Cognitive skills development. Letter & number recognition, concentrating on a task, following multi-step directions
